Freedom City’s Afterschool Program is currently seeking part-time teachers to join our team. Our primary objective is to provide a structured and fun environment to ensure students are receiving the supports they need to reach their potential. The Classroom Teacher will be responsible for ensuring students are thriving academically and creating a fun learning environment. The Classroom Teacher will also implement classroom expectations and procedures to ensure students have a structured routine and maintain their schedule.

Prepare room, resources, and equipment for day’s activities.

Prepare lesson plans weekly for reading, math and writing workshops.

Provide a structured classroom for students to thrive.

Implement classroom expectations and procedures.

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the students at all times.

Implement behavior management techniques.

Be a role model for all students.

Attend all trainings throughout the year.

Attend and participate in Staff meetings and some events outside of regular scheduled shift hours.

Demonstrate professionalism and appropriateness in tone of voice; teaching techniques/methods; dress attire; appearance; reliability; work ethic; respect for all children, families, and staff; and positive attitude about children, responsibilities, and work.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 10am-6pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays: 2:30pm-7:00pm.
